Apartment in Villamassargia
Of the eight apartments offered, seven are located on the peninsula of S. Antioco and one is located in Villamassargia, a village 10 km from Iglesias. Particularly in Villamassargia there is a vast centuries-old park of olive groves, called "S'Ortu Mannu", from the Middle Ages. There are about seven hundred olive trees, of considerable size that offer a unique spectacle. The largest tree, called Sa Reina, has more or less a circumference at the base of over sixteen meters which makes it the most imposing specimen in the Mediterranean.
Going up to the surrounding peaks of Villamassargia, the forest landscape of Orbai awaits us, a center of mining and metal-bearing activity in the last century. These structures have been partly reused for tourism purposes.
On the nearest hill of the country village, the Castle of "Gioiosa Guardia" stands out, which dates back to the same historical period as the secular park.
Apartments Calasapone Santantioco
The apartments of the Garden of Cala Sapone are about one km from the beach of Cala Sapone, a beach with a shallow seabed favorable for children to play in the water. From the beach it is possible to reach other bays with flat and comfortable rock docks. The seabed is also suitable for underwater fishing. The beach has a parking area, it is also possible to rent umbrellas, sunbeds, canoes, pedal boats, rubber dinghies, there is also a small restaurant where you can enjoy excellent lunches of typical Sardinian cuisine by the sea.
